Lowell Charles Dunbar, known as Sly Dunbar, is half of the legendary production and rhythm section duo Sly & Robbie, the most recorded rhythm section in reggae history. As drummer and producer he helped reshape reggae through dancehall, working with Black Uhuru, Grace Jones, Mick Jagger, and Bob Dylan. His drumming patterns are a fundamental source for electronic and hip hop sampling.
